Kona Community Hospital Cancer Care Chemotherapy

Most of our patients receive chemotherapy treatment as an outpatient in our infusion clinic. Staffed by highly trained, oncology certified nurses, the infusion clinic offers IV treatments as well as education and support for patient’s receiving chemotherapy.

The infusion clinic specializes in intravenous (IV) treatments. Services include:

  • Central line catheter care
  • Chemotherapy
  • Hydration
  • Intravenous therapies (to include antibiotics, iron replacement)
  • IV anti-nausea care
  • IV immune globulin
  • Intramuscular and subcutaneous injections
  • Pain management
  • Transfusion of blood products (red blood cells, plasma, platelets)
